“Dea Minerva” project
Superlizzy as partner for environmental culture inside schools
Excellent results for “DEA MINERVA” educational project started last July 2012 by the Commune of Savignano sul Panaro in the province of Modena.
Dea Minerva is an instructive project of environmental education approved and financed by the Council Administration that, in cooperation with the local Educational Institute, decided to incentivize the separated collection ecological culture inside the schools and between the citizens. The initiative considers the PET bottles collection at five collection points, equipped with Superlizzy compacting machines, near the schools of Savignano sul Panaro. The waste introduce into Superlizzy is daily collected and stocked in a collection point. After that the waste is monthly taken away by the collection company for recycling operations
The agreement between the Council Administration and the Educational Institute considers that the income from the waste sales is addressed entirely to schools that will decide autonomously the way to use it.
The results of the first six-month activity have been certainly satisfactory: the collection of 7 tons about of PET bottles produced a revenue of euro 2.800,00 that was addressed to schools didactic.
Therefore an initiative in favor of environment and at the same time producing an income involving Institutions, Schools, Citizens and local Companies.
